Orlando Pirates management has announced that they parted ways with one of their key player Fortune Makaringe, the club has no intentions to renew his contract.
Fortune Makaringe is leaving Orlando Pirates after he spend five years with them since his arrival from Maritzburg United.
Makaringe since he arrived at the Buccaneers he won three MTN 8 and two Nedbank cup trophies, he made 147 appearance since he arrived at the Buccaneers. He manage to score 10 goals with nine assists.
Makaringe his now a free agent at the moment, the club has released the statement Tuesday afternoon, no clubs has shown interest in signing him so far. Management doesn’t wanna renew his contract stay at the club.
The midfielder has had a bad season of his life, he was facing injuries and lack of games. Makaringe was hoping his stay to be extended by one year but the club decline his proposal. It’s the end of the road for his stay at Buccaneers.
“Words cannot fully express our gratitude and appreciation for Makaringe. Throughout his time with us, he consistently demonstrated exceptiona professionalism and discipline,” the club last statement
“The club will always be grateful for his contribution and wishes him nothing but the best in his future undeavour.”
Makaringe will not be shot of suitors in the off-season as he holds extensive top-flight, the club has already confirmed their decision, Fortune Makaringe has officially left the club.
Jose Riveiro has no plans with him, the team target’s new players to join them ahead of next season.
