An Orlando Pirates star is reportedly unhappy at the club with the way jose Riveiro is using him and is pushing a move away from the club.
This comes following a massively underwhelming 2023/24 DStv premiership campaign. The speed winger Monnapule Saleng ended the previous window as Orlando Pirates player of the season.
The season of 2022/23 Saleng score 15 goals and 11 assists for Orlando Pirates, also earned him the MTN 8 last man standing and PSL player of the season awards.
According to the reports Saleng has ask the management to transfer him on loan or add him to transfer list because of game time, rumors say’s the player is unhappy at the club. He needs game time.
Last season hero has managed just 16 start’s for the Buccaneers this season. The player is unhappy he doesn’t like to be bench, Saleng wants out from the club.
“out od the favor Orlando Pirates midfielder Monnapule Saleng is set to submit a transfer request this winter, Saleng love playing for the Buccaneers but the situation is forcing him to exit this summer. And get game time somewhere.
“I think the failed move in 2022 affected the player somehow, he was never the same player after that.
“ But he is over that right now and you can see whenever he comes on the field he makes a massive moves, The winger Monnapule Saleng won the Nedbank cup with Orlando Pirates 1 June, and his proud of his work and his teammates,” an insider told the publication.
Saleng haven’t change his mind about leaving Orlando Pirates, his still unhappy with the situation. Jose Riveiro’s and management haven’t answered the player about his request. Saleng is the key player of the Buccaneers they don’t wanna lose him, coach will try to give him what he wants next season.
