KAIZER CHIEFS defender Luke Fleurs’ alleged killers appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 14 May.
Their case was postponed to Thursday, 16 May, as Magistrate Delise Smith wanted to determine whether their offence was scheduled for 5 or 6 and also give their defence lawyers and state a chance on closing arguments in their bail applications.
This was after their bail outcome was on Tuesday, 7 May, and their case was postponed for further investigation as the investigating officer, Nare Moloto, wasn’t feeling well.
The accused, Ndumiso Ndura Moswane (26), Fernando Nando Sive (25), Nhlakanipho Dlamini (21), Franky Xaba (25), Maredi Mphahlele (36) and Thembinkosi Hlanikhawu (31) were remanded in custody.
The accused are charged with murder with common purpose, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and defeating the ends of justice.
During the court proceedings, the state prosecutor, Paseka Temeki, read their statements before the court. He also welcomed the investigation officer Moloto to share the outcome of the arrest.
